Training courses in Self Employment projects |

These training courses were conducted in all work areas of RWF. |

Sales Outlets |
|
· Sales outlets were organized for women’s and children’s products.
· A sales outlet is organized every year at the head office. Collecting children’s garments, ladies’ garments, handcrafts, grains vegetables, fruits as well as other creative work of members in all work areas sales are conducted in all work areas to sell members’ produce.

From its inception the RWF has initiated organic home gardens in all work areas very successfully. |

Organic Home Gardens |
|
The RWF distributes seeds required for each work area, twice a year. Imparting the necessary practical and technical knowledge and Instructions on Organic Home Gardening.
· An officer knowledgeable on this subject visits each society to instruct on organic manure, organic fungicides and layout of the gardens.
· For further information in this regard members are referred to Research Institutes such as that at Gannoruwa.
· Leaflets and booklets on organic home gardening are distributed among members.
· The necessary instructions are given by visiting the sites on spread of fungi and other problems that crop up in home gardening.
· Workshops are conducted with the participation of Agricultural Officers to raise awareness. |

Providing Seeds and plants |

The RWF has granted loans for self employment projects of members. Apart from this credit has been issued through ECLOF. |
|
Issuing credit for self employments |
|
After monitoring the home gardens in all work areas three prizes are awarded to the best gardens in each work area. The prizes are sets of gardening implements.
